Chronobreak is a potent escape tool, but it can also be quite powerful when used offensively. Don't underestimate its damage potential.
If you can proc Z-Drive Resonance on an enemy champion, it's worth taking risks to do so. The bonus Move Speed makes it easy to escape.
Phase Dive's dash is a great tool for setting up Ekko's other abilities. Use it to get double hits with Timewinder or get into position to detonate Parallel Convergence.

Overall, Ekko sees a very large drop in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Master Yi. His KDA fell from NaN to NaN. This decrease shows that Master Yi helps Ekko perform not as well in competitive League rounds. Yet, the small difference indicates that this performance change is not very impactful.
When Ekko is paired with Master Yi, he gets a little increase in his full damage dealt. This difference could indicate that Master Yi helps provide cover for him to dish out more damage or that his allyship also helps extend the round's duration. Similarly, when Ekko is played together with Master Yi on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees than when he plays alone. There is no perfect companion for Ekko that will no matter what be his #1 teammate. Yet, Master Yi is a good companion for Ekko. By locking into the same team as Ekko, he improves their win rate by 2.0% to 53.0%. This clearly indicates that there is a good synergy between Ekko and Master Yi that allows them to perform better together than alone.
Master Yi has a much lower diffuclty than Ekko. That means Ekko players don't need to be cautious when lining up Master Yi comrades to go into battle on the same side as, as they will require a much lower level of skill to do well with you.
Playing cooperatively, you should see an overall large increase in your team’s capability to destroy wih physical damage. When paired, these champions should be able to take down targets with auto-attacks and other AD damage abilities.
