To determine the most and least favorable counters for Malphite, we evaluated the scores of 106,939 recently finished, ranked League of Legends rounds. We found which champions have the greatest and poorest win rates against him. Furthermore, we determined those rare champs that are adept companions and who could help prevent him from being crushed. Having studied so many matches gives us a lot of faith in our Malphite counter stats.

As can be seen above, Swain is the best challenger for Malphite with a 55.0% victory rate against him. Close behind, Sylas and Zac are the next scariest threats to Malphite. These two champs have win rates of 54.0% and 54.0%, respectively. You should not bring him into a round where any of these other champions has already been selected.

On the other hand, if you're playing against Nidalee, you probably should expect to do much better. Malphite counters them with a very respectable win percentage of 56.0%. Likewise, you can expect to do very well when battling Zoe and Gragas. These champs have the next worst winrates versus Malphite.
