Playing Outside with Friends While Not Playing LoL

League of Legends is fun, but it’s not necessarily what we want to do with all of our free time. So, we’ve compiled a list of fun stuff to do between games of LoL to help keep League fresh and fun when we do decide to play it. Some of the best things to do include: watching movies, exploring the outdoors, cooking, and playing board games!

Watching Movies and TV

Who doesn’t like watching tv or movies to pass the time? The biggest problem with Netflix or Prime TV these days is finding something interesting to watch. We found a list of some of the best movies that you probably haven’t heard of on Amazon Prime. It’s worth checking out to see if there are any hidden gems you haven’t yet seen.

If you have any great shows you’ve seen recently that you’d like to recommend, please feel free to leave a recommendation for our other readers below.

Get Paid to Play Games

Doesn't this sound like a dream come true? We're not even talking about professional alpha or beta game testing. Ordinary, everyday people can play games or use apps to make money! Check out the list to see if any are games or apps you'd enjoy playing.

Getting Outside

Sometimes you just have to get out in the real world and breath the fresh air. With COVID-19 hopefully fading from our lives, it’s time to get back outdoors again. Now that it’s summer, we can get outside to hike on trails, play at the park (with our friends or our kids), catch some sun at the beach, or pick up a new sport with friends.

What are your favorite outdoor activities? Let us know in the comments section below.

Get Better at Cooking or Pick-up a New Recipe

It is no secret that cooking can be a very daunting experience for many people. With different cooking preparation methods, ingredients, and recipes to choose from, it is often hard to know how to start.

There are many great cooking guides and introductory YouTube videos out there for the aspiring chef. There are even great resources for people with niche dietary concerns, such as keto-friendly, and vegan recipes.

You can check out delicious and easy to create recipes, like this vegetarian lasagna recipe. For absolute beginners, one of the best places to start is with a meal service like Blue Apron that will deliver you all the right ingredients, portioned out, with helpful instructions. They will even teach you how to plate your meals to impress your guests!

Go to a Museum

Museums are great places to visit on hot days. While some think of museums as boring places to visit, it’s only because they haven’t found the right museum to suit their interests. For those looking for more interesting museums than natural history ones, there are museums dedicated to video games, spycraft, space exploration, sports, and just about any topic you can think of.

Check out what museums are offered in your area. You’ll likely be surprised!

Play Board Games or Card Games

Even though board games and card games are types of gaming, like video gaming, they are much more social and interactive. Hopefully your friends and family are much less toxic than many League of Legends players 🤣.

Some of the best board game ideas we’ve found are from Will Wheaton’s TableTop channel. Check them out for great suggestions!
