Most of the time you will use your ranged CC to initiate fights and engage, but you can also play very defensively and stop your carry from getting dived.

A: Leona's greatest strength is her 3 stuns. She can often keep the enemy's best champion(s) stunned long enough to be burst down by her team. When Leona is on the battlefield, the enemy needs to focus on their positioning and try to flank or bait out your CC. Don't get out of position, and don't waste your abilities. If you can keep a cool head, you will do very well.

A: In general, Leona benefits most from items and runes that increase her survivability and CC. You should get plenty of health, armor, magic resist, and cooldown reduction in any good Leona build.
