Tips for Playing as Karma with Azir
Don't be too conservative with Mantra. Gathering Fire is strongest in teamfights, making it easy to recharge Mantra multiple times.
Gathering Fire rewards aggressive play. Look to land abilities and basic attacks on your opponent to lower Mantra's cooldown and stay on the offensive.
When using Focused Resolve, slow your opponents with Inner Flame or speed yourself up with Inspire if you're having trouble sticking to a target.

In the lane, try to position your soldiers between the enemy's minions and the enemy champion. This way you can use them both to last hit and to project threat onto your lane opponent.
Be careful about putting down both of the soldiers stored by Arise! Unless you're going all-in, always have a soldier in your back pocket if you need to escape over a wall or if you misposition your other soldier and need damage now.
Think of Emperor's Divide as a defensive ability first and foremost. Use it when the enemy engages on you or your allies. Remember that your team can walk through the soldiers summoned by Emperor's Divide and use this to your advantage when enemy melee champions engage on you.

Overall, Karma sees a large worsening in her KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Azir. His KDA worsened from NaN to NaN. This negative change shows that Azir helps Karma perform poorer in ranked League matches. Yet, the small difference shows that this performance change is only marginal.
When Karma plays on the same team as Azir, she gets a moderate decrease in her full damage output. This change may demonstrate that Azir does not support by providing cover for her to deal more damage or that his allyship also helps increase the match's duration. Similarly, when Karma is played alongside Azir on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees compared to when she plays alone. This is contrasting evidence that she is worse when playing synergisticly with Azir.
Additionally, when Karma plays with Azir on the same side, she typically takes a little less damage than when she plays alone. Receiving not as much damage could indicate that Azir does a decent job of protecting Karma during team fights.

Is Karma better when played alongside Azir?
There is no universally accepted best champion pairing for Karma that will 100% of the time be her ideal teammate. However, Azir is a pretty good ally for Karma. By being on the same team as Karma, he increases their win rate by 1.3% to 49.6%. This clearly indicates that there is pretty good strategic relationship between Karma and Azir that allows them to perform stronger together than without each other.
Azir has a much greater difficulty compared to Karma. That means Karma players should be cautious when lining up Azir comrades to fight alongside, as they will have to have a much greater level of skill to cooperate well with you.
Fighting together, you should see an overall large increase in your team’s ability to to do a lot of AP damage. When paired, these champions are able to dish out a surprising amount of magic type damage.
